Professor Masquelier was the first person to successfully isolate and extract OPCs. After many years of intensive research, he not only found that OPCs are not all the same, they come in many different sizes, and form many different compositions that have different effects on human health. He dedicated decades to developing the ultimate compositions of OPCs now identified by the MASQUELIER's® trademark. They are still authenticated at every stage of their production by a group he set up to uphold their unique composition and quality. He spent the rest of his life researching their remarkable impacts on health.

 

What are OPCs?

OPCs (short for oligomeric proanthocyanidins) are a group of naturally occurring compounds with important health benefits. OPCs are completely natural, and perform a number of known functions in the human body, although the body itself cannot produce them.  They are a special type of proanthocyandin, which is a chemical compound that helps protect plants. Professor Masquelier was the first to isolate and identify them. He named them OPCs and only included the very smallest kinds in his definition. He did so as these are the ones most active and bioavailable ... the ones that the body can process and are therefore of most nutritional value.
